Dreams Project

a doll for each kid

DREAMS (A doll for each kid) - a social project initiated by Dor Carmon Studio to Fundraise for Children with Cancer at the Department of Oncology at Tel Hashomer Children's Hospital.

I was one of the 30 Israeli designers who joined the project, in which we received illustrations drawn by children from the Department. I immediately chose Sharon's drawing – it had just the perfect combination of optimism and naivety. It reminded me of a work of a favorite artist Takashi Murakami. His aesthetics and approach inspired me in the process of the design. Even the original color palette was surprisingly accurate.

The illustrations were translated by the designers into 3D characters and printed in advanced 3D printers with the sponsorship of Stratasys and Synergy. All printed characters were put up for auction at the "Fresh Paint" Art fair and all proceeds were donated to the Department of Oncology at Tel Hashomer Children's Hospital.
